Art Deco Wall Panels

Unique set of 10 Liberal Arts Educations panels from the Art Deco period, sculpted allegorical figures from oak in bas-relief. Around 1920/1930.

These panels come from an art deco building, which is listed as a protected heritage site. Each panel has its own allegorical figure, with very finely carved Latin inscription for the Liberal Arts Education. The curves of the hair reveal the Art Deco period, a typical style for the 1920s/30s that can also often be found in wall panels on Art Deco buildings.

The panels are a nice size and all measure exactly the same size 85x54 cm. After sculpting, they were treated with a base coat and finished with a high-gloss white/ecru layer, which has created its own patina over the years.

We only offer these panels for sale in their entirety, sales per piece is not possible. Price on request, if you are interested you can contact us via the contact page or directly by email to: contact@moett.be
