Maison Delisle - Bronze Gilded Guirlande Appliques in Louis XVI Style
A pair of bronze gilded appliqués from the French house Maison Delisle Paris.
The wall lamps are numbered and marked on the back with LFD 'Le Freres Delisle'
Henri Delisle, founder of the Parisian house of Delisle in 1895 together with his brother Gaston "Les Fréres Delisle". Specialized in artistic bronze work, hand-worked.
Especially look at the very fine hand-worked "ciselure" technique, which is excellently executed and takes days, we clearly illustrate this in the photo series.
Delsile is a member of the Comité Colbert since 1985, the Maison Delisle has been labeled since 2006 "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant", A French state label awarded to companies with excellent craft and industrial know-how.
The House of Delisle, works mainly on major projects including the Duchess of Manchester, the Prince of Croÿ, Austro-Hungarians such as Prince and Princess Kinsky and even members of the Egyptian Royal Family such as Prince Mohammed Ibrahim. She collaborated with major decoration houses, such as Jansen rue Royale (Maison Jansen), Alavoine et Cie in Paris and New York, Decour, Carlhian & Beaumets. Henry Delisle worked with great decorators such as Paul-Emile Ruhlmann, Jules Leleu, Raymond Subes and even Gilbert Poillerat.
